For Providers

About MyMichigan Health Connection

MyMichigan Health Connection is a self-funded health plan for MyMichigan Health which utilizes the MyMichigan Collaborative Care Organization (MCCO) Clinically Integrated Network, comprised of MyMichigan Health providers, medical centers, and community physicians.

By joining MCCO, providers become In-Network for the MyMichigan Health Connection health plan and are listed in the health plan network directory as a participating provider. In-Network status equates to lower member cost share/out-of-pocket expenses. Network providers also have direct access to communications as they relate to the health plan as well as dedicated customer support to help resolve claims issues should they arise.

MyMichigan Health Connection requires providers to join the network via MCCO’s credentialing process. MCCO assumes responsibility for selecting and evaluating practitioners via a fair, accurate, and non-discriminatory method, recognizing that practitioners assume responsibility for managing the health care of our enrollees.  If you are a practitioner who wishes to participate with the MyMichigan Health Connection network, you are expected to:

  • meet the requirements of the credentialing program.
  • have medical staff privileges at a MyMichigan Health hospital.
  • join the Clinically Integrated Network once approved.
  • cooperate with Utilization Management and Quality Improvement activities.
  • direct patients to other network practitioners for specialty care and to network provider hospitals, facilities and laboratories for testing and treatments whenever possible.
